This executive long distance programme (with a residential component at IIMA) would be divided into modules covering among other topics Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, Financial Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Human Resources Analytics and Operations Analytics. The overall value gained at the end of the programme is expected to build a solid foundation of business analytics.

The teaching approach will be highly interactive using the technological capabilities of the channel. The pedagogy followed for the programme will consist of a blend of lectures, case studies, online lectures, projects, peer to peer learning, self-learning, role play and simulations. Mentoring by faculty and access to learning resources of IIMA will also be made available. There will be two campus component held at IIMA. HGEIL will ensure uninterrupted technical support in conducting online classes, attendance, quizzes, etc.

Prof. Arnab Kumar Laha
Prof. Arnab K Laha has wide ranging interest in statistics and its applications particularly in Business Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, Quality Management and Risk Management. He has published more than 20 papers in national and international journals of repute and has presented papers in more than 40 conferences held in India and abroad. He was featured among India’s best business school professors by Business Today in 2006 and Business India in 2012 and was named as one of the “10 Most Prominent Analytics Academicians in India” by Analytics India Magazine in 2014. He is the convener of the biennial IIMA series of conferences on Advanced Data Analysis, Business Analytics and Intelligence which is held biennially. He is the author of the popular book on analytics "How to Make the Right Decision" published by Penguin-Random House.
Prof. Laha has been associated with several reputed organizations, both in the private and public sector, as a consultant. He has conducted large number of training programmes and undertaken consultancy work in the fields of business analytics, quality management and risk management. He serves as Faculty-Chairperson of IIMA Executive Education Programmes on these topics.
Prof. Laha is currently a member of Governing Council of Insurance Information Bureau of India and is also a member of the FICCI Healthcare Committee.
Prof. Laha takes keen interest in understanding how training can be leveraged to quicken organisational growth. At Genpact he was one of the main architects of a novel learning and skill building initiative for career development of analytics professionals.
