1. Raghuram Rajan:

Known as one of the top economists in the country, Raghuram Rajan is the name that needs no introduction. He passed out from the institute in 1987 as the gold medallist. Currently serving as Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business had also served as the governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 2013 to 2016. During his glorious career, Raghuram Rajan held a myriad of positions, such as the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund during 2003 to 2006, Honorary Economic Advisor to Government of India in 2008, then in 2012 was appointed as Chief Economic Advisor to Ministry of Finance.

2. Sanjeev Bikhchandani:

Sanjeev, who obtained his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1989, is Executive Vice Chairman of Info Edge India, the parent company of Naukri.com. The winner of 2008's Ernst & Young - Entrepreneur of the year award is one of the prominent role models for entrepreneurs in the country.

3. V. Kamath:

Kundapur Vaman Kamath, commonly a.k.a K.V. Kamath, got his P.G. Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad in 1971. He heads the New Development Bank of BRICS nations, he also served as the Chairman of Infosys Limited and as the Non-Executive Chairman of ICICI Bank, India. K.V. Kamath also held the office of ICICI Bank's Managing Director and CEO from 1 May 1996 until his retirement on 30 April 2009.

4. Arvind Subramanian:

The current Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Arvind Subramanian, did his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He was Assistant Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund and worked closely to strengthen the Indian economy with Raghuram Rajan during his tenure with the RBI.

5. Deep Kalra:

Deep Kalra is the founder and CEO of one of the largest travel portals in India, known as Make My Trip. Deep Kalra joined ABN AMRO right after the completion of his course at IIM Ahmedabad in 1992, where he worked for the next 3 years. Later on, he joined GE Capital as VP of Business Development and went on to start Make My Trip in the year 2000. He is also one of the founders of Ashoka University.

6. Ajaypal Singh Banga:

Padmashri Ajay Singh Banga is one of the names who are synonyms of success. After completing his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, he joined Nestle and rose up to higher management ranks. Later on, he launched PepsiCo and launched their international fast food franchise in India. Currently serving as President & CEO of Mastercard since 2010, he is also one of the board members of the organization.

7. Manvinder Singh Banga:

After completing his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1977, M.S. Banga joined Unilever and rose up to the highest ranks of CEO and chairman in the next 33 years. In 2005 he became global head of food division and went on take charge of the HPC division as well as running all of Unilever’s categories across the globe.

8. Kiran Karnik:

Kiran Karnik is one of the top Indian administrators; he is a tall figure in broadcasting and outsourcing industries. He joined ISRO in its early days and served there for next 20 years, after completing his PGDBM from IIM Ahmedabad. During 1983 to 1991, he was director of ISRO’s Development and Educational Communicational Unit. He also served as President of NASSCOM from 2001 to 2008.

9. Chetan Bhagat:

An author, a columnist and a TV celeb, he is everything one creative person wants to be. Chetan Bhagat is one of the most celebrated authors in India in the past couple of decades. Known for his novels like Five Points Someone, One Night at Call Centre, Two States, and a few more. He earned his MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad in 1997.

10. Harsha Bhogle:

Every cricket lover knows this name; his commentary makes the experience of watching the game engaging. Not many know that Harsha has a PGDM diploma from IIM Ahmedabad, the batch of 1985.
