Father Jesurajan received his training in mass communication and spent seventeen years in the Philippines, in India and in the USA teaching, training and researching varied areas of mass communication. Since 1984, besides teaching Managerial Communication and Corporate Image Building to regular students, he conducts in-company and training programmes on these and other related areas. He has been conducting workshops to CEOs and other senior level managers, in India and abroad. His experiences in training managers and his knowledge of the industry make him unique in this field of managerial communication. He is editor of the Institute’s journal, Management and Labour Studies.
Worked in several research and training assignments for over three decades in the area of organizational behaviour, organzational development and human resources management.Prior to joining the XLRI, Dr Gangopadhyay was the Professor & Dean, School of Management & Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Professor Gangopadhyay was the Professor & Head, Department of PMIR,TISS, Mumbai; Professor & Dean, Indian Institute of Management, Indore; Director, Central Labour Institute, Ministry of Labour, DGFASLI, Mumbai; Professor in Behavioural Sciences, SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad and Scientist, Defence Research & Development(DRDO), Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.Worked as the national expert with International Labour Organization(ILO) and Asian Productivity Organization(APO), Tokyo. Current research interests include organizational restructuring & design, diversity management and management of occupational health & safety.
In her thesis she has looked into factors related to empowerment of women employees in a stereotypical job. Prior to her doctoral study she worked in industry for more than 9 years. She has presented papers in national and international conferences, and has published articles. Her research interests include empowerment, training and development, gender diversity, and international human resource management. She also qualified in the UGC NET-JRF.
Fr. Tony Uvary S.J., currently Associate Professor of XLRI, Jamshedpur earlier worked in XIMB as a Faculty in OB & HR Area and also was the Dean of Administration for three years. Fr.Tony has graduated from XLRI and completed his Ph.D from Madras University in Human Resource Management. He has been teaching OB for more than 6 years and conducted many MDP programs in the area of Personality Development, Leadership, Basic Managerial Skills and Team Buildings. He has published a number of research papers both in national and international journals. Fr. Tony Uvary S.J. is also a visiting faculty in Loyola University Maryland, US. His area of interests is Group dynamics, Team Building, Personality Development, Institutional Building and Strategic Planning.

Chairperson of the Information Systems Area and the “Center for e-Business". He has thirteen years of teaching, research and consulting experience in business computing. Published and presented several papers in leading journals and national/international conferences. Current areas of interest e-Business, e-Procurement, e-SCM, e-Security and policy, IT outsourcing and application of intelligent agents in business. Presently member of Indian Association of Research in Computing (IARCS), Computer Society of India and IEEE Computer Society.
Worked with Xavier Institute of Management and Utkal University, Bhubaneswar since 1988 ,prior to joining XLRI in November, 2006. Areas of research interest include Multi-Objective Decision -Making, Fuzzy Logic and their application to management and societal development problems at one end & Cultural Management at the other. He has also got gold medals and awards for some of his research works. Has already guided six scholars for their Ph.d. degree in Management. He has published in National and International journals and is also a reviewer of European Journal of Operational Research. Held several administrative positions at XIMB and Utkal University including Head of the Deptt of MBA, Utkal University. He has also consulting experience with Govt. and Private sectors.
Fr George is currently the Dean [Administration & Finance]. Earlier he was the Dean of Administration & Finance and one of the founding members of XIM Bhubaneswar. He is highly interested in latest technology and creating quality infrastructure. His area of specialization includes Industrial and Agricultural Economics and Educational Administration.
He qualified the National Educational Testing (Master’s Level) conducted by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi in 1988 and was awarded both Junior and Senior Research Fellowships for pursuing his doctoral thesis on Conjugal Power Structure in Purchase Decisions which he had completed in 1994 from Pondicherry University. Prior to joining XLRI, he had taught at Karunya Deemed University, Coimbatore and IMT-Ghaziabad. Areas of interest include Business Research Methods, Marketing Research, Data Analysis for Marketing Decisions and Service Loyalty Measurements. He has conducted Development Programmes on the Application of Statistical Tools through SPSS and has published several articles in the refereed journals.
Professor Broca joined XLRI in June 2006. At the onset of his career, he served at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. On returning to India, he had a brief stint with Nestle India Ltd. Between 1991 to 2006, Professor Broca has held academic positions at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala, BITS Pilani, IIT Roorkee and IIM Kozhikode. His research interests currently focus on Statistics Education – classroom capsules/notes that contain new ideas to enrich teaching of traditional statistical concepts.
Debasis Pradhan joined XLRI in 2006. He teaches Advertising and Sales Promotion, Consumer Behaviour, and Marketing Management. Prior to this, he has more than two years of managerial experience in power sector. Papers and cases authored by him have been published in national and international journals of repute. He has presented papers authored by him at international conferences like INFORMS Marketing Science Conference held at Singapore Management University, University of Michigan, University of Cologne, Germany, and Academy of Management (AOM), Philadelphia. His research interests include Media mix decisions, Consumer decision heuristics, Fuzzy goal programming approach in marketing, Marketing theory, and Bottom of pyramid (BOP) markets.
He has joined XLRI in January, 2010. Prior to joining XLRI, he has taught at IMT, Nagpur. His doctoral work was on the effects of Price and Production Postponement decisions, and Product Flexibility on Capacity Planning under uncertainty. His areas of interest include Strategic Capacity Planning, Stochastic Programming, Manufacturing Flexibility, Revenue Management and World Class Manufacturing Strategies. He is a certified ISO 9000:2000 Lead Auditor. Prior to joining the Fellow Programme at IIMC, he has worked in a leading Petrochemical Complex for more than 4 years.
