Who Should Attend
Middle & Senior level working executives and professionals in business organizations may apply for this program. The program offers quality interactions with experienced executives, and peer group learning as average experience of the participants is around 8-10 years.

Eligibility
  • Applicants should be working professionals/self-employed. Must possess 5 - 15 years of work experience (full-time paid employment) post completion of graduation as on Application Closure Date.
  • Full Time Degree Graduates (10+2+3) in any discipline with min. 50% marks [aggregate - considering results of all years (e.g. 3 or 4 together)] recognized by UGC/AICTE. Deviation – only AICTE approved full-time Hotel Management Diploma (10+2+3) will be considered.

  • For Self Employed professionals - IT Return + MOA & AOA or Trade License or Partnership Deed is mandatory.
  • For other working professionals - Salary Slip (current period) + all joining & relieving letters (if applicable) is mandatory.
  • Mark Sheets of all years of Graduation is mandatory for all.

Admission Criteria & Profile Desired
An Entrance Test will be conducted to select eligible candidates to the program. Candidates who qualify the above eligibility criteria will be considered for the Entrance Test.
Final Selection will be made basis the candidates’ performance in the Entrance Test. No deviations to the laid out Eligibility Criteria (unless otherwise mentioned above) will be considered.
Desired Proficiencies in the Candidate (in addition to the Eligibility Criteria) –
  • Proficiency in English since it would be the medium of instruction.
  • Basic numerical ability and mathematical skills - including Algebra (eg. Equation of Straight Line), Basic Differential & Integral Calculus and Ability to Interpret Graphs.
  • Ability to reason logically
  • General awareness – including knowledge of Industry

Program Details
Spread over one year, the program provides the participants with skills for leadership in the knowledge economy through an innovative curriculum. Faculty from IIMC and distinguished visiting faculty from reputed academic institutions and industry handle these courses.

The program curriculum focuses on equipping the participants:

Learning Experience
The program was good.It provides a wonderful learning opportunity.It is upto each of the students to make best use of the opportunity. Some of the professors have been extremely good adn inspiring.However, there is some scope for improvment as lectures from some of the professors have not lived upto the expectations.
Hughes Network has been a wonderful platform which provides an opportunity to working professionals to sharpen their skills while continuing to cope up with the day-to-day job requirements.

Dr. Anindya Sen is currently a Professor of Economics at IIM-C. He was earlier Dean (Program Initiatives) at IIM-C. He obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Southern California, U.S.A. He has previously taught at Calcutta University and Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. He has also held visiting positions at University of Notre Dame, USA and American University of Armenia. He was Dean of Graduate Studies, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and also Chairman, Local Arrangements Committee for The India and South-East Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society, 1992.
Dr. Sen has published in both national and international journals. He has authored/edited 6 books, 5 of which have been published by the Oxford University Press. He has also worked on a number of projects, including a Reserve Bank of India sponsored project on Industrial Sickness in the Eastern Region and a Kolkata Port Trust sponsored project on Tariff Fixation for the KPT.
His research is in the areas of Industrial Organization, Theory of the Firm, Regulation, and Strategic Management.


Prof. Amit Dhiman works in the Human resource Management Group at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He has a Ph. D. in Human Resource Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He also holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management and BE degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked for more than seven years in industry in private sector, mainly in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development functions. Currently, he teaches Post Graduate level courses in Human Resource Management and Strategic Human Resource Management in Services.
Amit has research interests in Strategic Human Resource Management in Services, Performance Management, Accountability in Decision Making, and Organizational Commitment. In above areas and others, he has publications in acclaimed journals, and presentations in prestigious international conferences like Academy of Management. He has deep interest and felicity in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. He has got training in various pedagogies at prestigious institutions including Harvard Business School.
Amit had been actively involved in Management Development and Organizational Development initiatives in his role as a manager, corporate trainer, and academic. In recent past he has conducted Management Development Programs for organizations like Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals, NTPC, M.N. Dastur, Vodafone, Indian Oil Corporation, SAIL, ICSE Board School Principals among others.
