Overview
Supply Chain Management (SCM) has emerged as the most exciting and most rewarding career in management. In the present business environment, an understanding of supply chain is a must to succeed in other functional areas like operations management, sales and marketing management, customer relationship management (CRM), physical distribution and logistics management, procurement, service-operations management, information technology management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), financial management, global business management, strategic management, etc.
SCM deals with management of flow of material, information and money from supplier-to-customer and customer-to- supplier. The course is designed to equip the participants with concepts, tools and techniques of Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and related concepts so that they can understand the strategy, operations, modeling, IT-enablement and other recent trends in SCM.
One of the major aims of this program is to develop the decision-making capability in SCM, ERP and related areas. Recent advances in these areas would be covered in this program.
